Arturo Vidal has dealt Manchester Uniteda blow by appearing to rule out a transfer to Old Trafford this summer.
The Chile international has emerged as the Red Devils’ top targets in recent days as new manager Louis van Gaallooks to bolster his midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
Liverpoolhave also been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old, who scored 11 goals and made five assists in 32 Serie Agames last season.
However, Vidal now appears to have ruled out a move to United, although he stopped short of fully committing himself to Juventus.
“I’m still on holiday at the moment,” Vidal toldGazzetta dello Sport. “Can I say I’m staying at Juve? I don’t know. On Monday I’ll talk to [Juve boss Massimiliano] Allegri then we’ll see.
“I’m happy here. I’m calm. I believe Juve fans can be too. I still haven’t spoken to Allegri or my team-mates.
And when asked if he is going to Manchester, Vidal replied:
“No, no.”
Vidal has won three Serie A titles since joining Juventus from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011.
